Meet the Teacher

I’m a native Floridian (born in Melbourne), but I’ve lived in several places in the southern US. I moved to Broward County in 1992, after living in Orlando for 10 years. This is my fourth year teaching at Cypress Bay.

I graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in English. Later, I attended the University of Central Florida, where I earned substantial credit toward a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. While attending school, I tutored remedial students in my majors.

I bring years of computer industry experience to Cypress Bay; my first program was written on punch cards (before there were such things as personal computers, spreadsheets, or color monitors). I began exploring the internet in 1993, and started creating web pages in 1996.

I enjoy playing chess, reading, movies, surfing the net, and listening to music.
